Parameters for Design of Spaces: Case for Kolkata and It’s Fringes

Abstract

Researchers have been probing the various ways of design of public spaces and most have come up with several areas of designing and more reasons of consideration. The considerations mostly deal with the physical and clinical aspects but some late researchers have also pointed out synergistic issues that are becoming more important considerations for space design. The paper is an attempt to identify key factors, as proposed by authors from various fields, and group them into major identifiable parameters.
