Abstract

The current research focuses on the determination of structural stability on metal members and shows the comparison between ETF and ITF loading conditions along with FRP and without FRP. The structural stability and strength capacity depend on the metal member. In this investigation, three types of metal members (such as aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel) were used and FRP was utilized for wrapping over the metal member. Universal Testing Machine has been utilized for experiments. The results show that FRP provides greater strength in the case of Interior-Two-Flange (ITF) loading compared to End-Two-Flange (ETF) loading conditions. The structural stability and strength are much higher in ITF loading conditions.
