Abstract

This study delves into the efficient utilization of sloping terrain within modern construction practices, underscoring the paramount significance of maximizing land use. The research serves as a testament to the feasibility of erecting residential structures up to G+2 levels on land characterized by a 19.66° slope and a soil-bearing capacity of 0.2 MPa. To ensure structural integrity, a comprehensive analysis and design process was meticulously executed using advanced CYPE software, meticulously incorporating the pertinent Indian Standard (IS) codes.

The research outcomes unequivocally validate that through the application of appropriate engineering methodologies, lands possessing adequate soil-bearing capacity can readily accommodate construction on sloped terrains. This not only contributes to sustainable construction practices but also embodies a beacon of innovation in the realm of contemporary architecture. Such initiatives not only address the growing urban space constraints but also exemplify the adaptability and ingenuity of construction professionals in meeting the demands of evolving landscapes and sustainable development goals.
