A Study to Assess the Knowledge Regarding Covid-19 among People Residing in Vaniyamkulam Panchayath

Abstract

A disease is a particular abnormal condition that negatively affects the structure or function of all or part of an organism, and that is not due to any immediate external injury. Diseases are often known to be medical conditions that are associated with specific signs and symptoms. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). It is a global threat and has evolved to become a Pandemic crisis. A descriptive study was conducted through online platform among individuals aged 18-70years. Twenty true or false questions were administered to thirty-three sample. The results were computed using descriptive and inferential statics based on objectives of the study. The study findings reveal that 67% of people are having excellent knowledge, 27% are having good knowledge and 6% are having average knowledge regarding Covid -19.
