Abstract

A quantitative study was conducted among the nursing students of Mother Teresa College of Nursing, Pudukkottai. The main objective of this study is to assess the pre-test and post-test level of selfie addiction among the nursing students in experimental and control group and to evaluate the effectiveness of mindful muscle relaxation exercises on cognizance level of selfie addiction and its impacts among the nursing students. Pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test method. A purposeful sampling technique was used, and 50 samples agreed to participate in this study. The data were used in a structured questionnaire scheduled. Data were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics. The mean score of pre-test level of knowledge is 7.74 and mean score of post-test level of knowledge is 13.28. The enhancement of knowledge in mean score and SD, which the effectiveness of mindful muscle relaxation exercises on cognizance regarding selfie addiction and its impacts. The analysis depicted that there is improved the level of knowledge on cognizance regarding selfie addiction and its impacts among the nursing students, which indicates the effectiveness of mindful muscle relaxation exercises.
