Abstract

Background: Postpartum maternal health care is a mistreated part of women’s health care. This ignorance is clear in the imperfect national health objectives and information related to maternal health. Contradictory perceptions of maternal needs between nurses and new mothers also contribute to insufficient health care. Aim: This study was aimed to identify the prevalence of maternal health problems after childbirth Methodology: A Quantitative Descriptive research design was used. 60 Mothers were selected by using Purposive Sampling Technique who fulfilled the inclusion criteria and who were available during the period of data collection at selected hospital, Puducherry. Data was collected by using structured questionnaire. The Demographic Variable such as BMI had shown statistical significant association with their emotional problems.
