A Case Study of Retrofitting of Structure

Abstract

It is not possible to demolish all the building and build new with earthquake resistant
features as demolition and rebuilding is not feasible due to economic, social, psychological
and cultural reasons. So, the action required is to improve their behavior
by retrofitting/strengthening/rebuilding/restoring/repairing/remolding. The purpose of doing
case study is to share the knowledge from particular that is out of usual in one way or
another. One of the purposes could be to share hardcore technical information with the
technocrats. We set out to study what the retrofitting of building are by searching for
further information in different case study.
